A Few Pics!

So it has officially been the most hectic 2 weeks of my life (yes ,more hectic than wedding planning!). We moved in, went on a week vacation to California, and then 2 days after returning from holiday, we hosted a combo housewarming/30th birthday party!

Everything went very well though - thanks to some great help from awesome friends, the move and set up was mostly done by the time the party rolled around.

I took a few pics as we were setting up of the main floor that I thought I'd share!

Here is the view from the front porch into the house. You can see the gross carpet on the stairs - one day we will do the stairs but for now the carpet stays.

Here is the view from the front hall into the dining room.

This is the dining room with the doors closed. Through the doors is the family room. One day, hopefully in November, we'll have a new dining room set with a sideboard.

And here is the living room with one of our new couches!! We put the family room coffee table in here for the party but we'll need to replace it eventually.

Here is the dining room from the other direction (the family room).

And here is the family room (with new couch number 2!).

Here is a better view of the new couch.  Funny how a new couch makes the old chair look disgusting! New chairs are on the list, but not at the top at this point :-)

And finally here is a shot of the kitchen as we were cooking some of the food. Oh and a bag on the back door that shows what I bought in the states while I was there :-)

Anyways - upcoming posts include our first run in with the famous Toronto raccoons and photos of the first phase of the master bedroom renovation :-)
