Dining Room Furniture - Update

There are good people out there, and yes, you can find them on the internet.

So, as previously reported, our dining room furniture had been delayed by earthquakes and then Canadian customs (thanks, Canada).  ETA: December 24th.

Starting to panic, I wrote my last post and received recommendations on rentals. Gulp.

In comes Christine - the woman I found on craigslist who sold me the furniture. She sent me an email that basically went like this:

"Hi Janice - I have a solution. Why don't I send you a table and 10 chairs to use for the holidays and will then exchange them for your set after Christmas?"

And look at me now:

Yes, that's right. We have a table!! It is actually the same table we purchased (just wider). The chairs are brand new (we have to take the plastic off the cushions) and she sent 10 when we only ordered 8. Can you believe it?

That is what I call service - I am still in shock that she would do this - especially when the delays had nothing to do with her and are part of the 'buy direct from Indonesia' package.

Anyways - just an update to show that lovely trusting people (yes, we haven't paid for 3/4 of the set yet) are out there and can make the holiday season feel really special!
